What is Edit PDF?
Edit PDF lets you select original text and images on a page. Rewrite text, change its font, size, or color, replace images, and delete objects. Original objects are changed in the PDF, rather than covered by overlays. You can also add new text, images, shapes, and highlights.
Your PDF and images stay in this browser tab. No upload or account is required.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I rewrite existing PDF text?
- Yes, directly accessible text objects can be rewritten or deleted. The editor changes the original page content. Scans, outlined lettering, and text inside grouped artwork are not editable as text.
- Are highlights or shapes permanent redaction?
- No. Underlying PDF content remains accessible. Do not use visual overlays to hide sensitive information.
- Can I edit more than one page?
- Yes. Navigate between pages and add items to each. All additions are saved in one output PDF.
- Which images and text are supported?
- PNG and JPG replacement images up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels. Original text keeps its embedded font when the required characters are available. Helvetica, Times, and Courier are replacement fonts. Editing preserves the text position but does not reflow paragraphs.
- Is my PDF uploaded?
- No. Preview rendering and PDF editing run locally in your browser tab.
